Between 1997
and 2005, the largest international foot and ankle surgery courses
were held in Bad Homburg, Germany. These two day courses were
an overwhelming success, with more than three hundred participants
from twenty countries at each course. The faculty of several experts
from Europe and from the United States presented lectures and
video tapes on various aspects of foot and ankle surgery, as well
as interactive symposiums. This dynamic video lecture format created
a unique educational experience.
In 2006, the
course was closed after a successfull cooperation with the City
of Bad Homburg had come to an end. The course chairmen, Roger
